It’s time for the Yukon and Yukon XL’s corporate brethren, the Cadillac Escalade, to move over; the Denali Ultimate is ready to burn bright in the opulence department. Initially, the lavish trim debuted on the GMC Sierra 1500. In addition, the durable pickup premiered standard FWD and dark 22-inch chrome wheels. Moreover, Sierra 1500 lovers partake in magnificence with tasteful materials such as Alpine Umber, a wood accent, and leather seats. 

The genuine bombshell is the Yukon’s technology. The 2023 model year marks the first time GMC’s Super Cruise finds itself inside the Denali Ultimate trim. Like other vehicles equipped by the automotive General, Super Cruise authorizes hands-free driving but only when the SUV traverses through a mapped section of a freeway. Furthermore, GM’s Super Cruise can switch lanes without assistance and fulfill these functions while hauling a loaded trailer. 

Standard equipment for the Denali Ultimate includes Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist. When the SUV transits below 18 mph, the parking assist system chimes off to notify drivers of a vacant parking spot and demonstrates instructions on the infotainment screen and the instrument cluster to offer parking assistance. 

Other Yukon trims acquire gentle updates. For example, the GMC Yukon premieres four new exterior colors for the 2023 model. The Yukon SLE, SLT, and Denali trims also offer optional 22-inch wheels. Flawless performance remains at the forefront. However, the SLE and SLT trim acquires a standard 5.3-liter V8 engine producing 355 HP. Then there’s the available turbo-diesel 3.0-liter inline-six generating 277 HP. The GMC Yukon AT4 trim attains the 5.3-liter V8 or the available 6.2-liter V8, rendering 420 HP. The top-tier Denali and Denali Ultimate trim adopt the turbodiesel engine. However, the 6.2-liter V8 engine is available. Finally, the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL models feature a 10-speed automatic transmission.
