New Reserve Package for the 2022 GMC Yukon

The 2022 GMC Yukon is the second model from the fifth generation, and frankly, the redesign is as crisp as a freshly picked Granny Smith. The road to perfection is a road only familiar to General Motors. While on this road to perfection, pit stops are essential, and the 2022 GMC Yukon stopped and picked up the new Denali Reserve Package. 

The new Denali Reserve Package replaces the 2021 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate Package. 

The Denali Reserve Package includes: 

• Adaptive Cruise Control
• Premium Capability Package with Active Response 4WD (4WD model only)
• Air Ride Adaptive suspension
• Advanced Security Package 
• Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking
• Wheel locks
• Reverse Automatic Braking 
• 22-inch bright machined aluminum wheels with premium paint 
• Power-retractable assist steps with perimeter lighting 
• Rear Camera Mirror Washer 
• Rear Camera Mirror 
• Panoramic power sunroof

The Premium Capability Package and Active Response 4WD create Air Ride Adaptive Suspension. In addition to the Adaptive Suspension, the bundle also creates an electronic limited-slip differential with the Active Response 4WD system. It may seem that the Denali Reserve Packages imitates the Denali Ultimate Package, but one crucial differential is the Rear Seat Media System.      

Currently, there’s no pricing information for the new 2022 GMC Yukon Denali Reserve Package. However, the new Reserve Package doesn’t include the Ultimate’s Rear-Seat Media System, so there’s an expectation that the Package will receive a decrease. If there is a price reduction, expect to see a decrease of $11,305 compared to the Denali Ultimate Package. 

The Denali Reserve Package is available on the 2022 GMC Yukon trim level and exclusively to the Yukon and Yukon XL models. Unfortunately, the Reserve Package is unavailable for the SLE, SLT, or AT4 trims.  

Looking for a bit of customization, the Reserve Package can eliminate the 22-inch aluminum wheels with premium paint and welcome the LPO-level wheel option. When a Yukon enthusiast orders the Denali Black Package, the 22-inch selective machining Carbon Flash wheels substitute the 22-inch aluminum wheels with premium paint. 

The 2022 GMC Yukon holds three engine options: the 5.3L V8 L84 gas engine, the 6.2L V8L87 gas engine, and the exhilarating 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax. Although pricing hasn’t received confirmation, production for the new Reserve Package commences at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.
