The 2024 GMC Sierra Now Offers a Drop-In Bedliner

The 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 has undergone fantastic updates for the new model year. The new drop-in bedliner is exclusive to the Pro, SLE, Elevation, or SLT trim level. The LPO or dealer-installed option includes a tailgate liner, it’s available for an extra $495, but it’s worth it for those enthusiasts that want to protect their truck bed from scratches and other damages. Nonetheless, it’s important to note that this feature is unavailable on the AT4, AT4X, Denali, or Denali Ultimate trims.

The are several specifications to employing the drop-in bedliner, such as: 

• If the SLE trim features the Off-Road Protection Package, the bed liner is unavailable.
• If the Elevation trim includes the Off-Road Protection Package or the Elevation Premium Package, then the bedliner is unavailable. 
• The SLT trim can not include the Off-Road Protection Package, the SLT Premium Plus Package, or the Texas Edition SLT Premium Plus Package. 

The answer is yes for those wondering if the Big Red offers another bedliner solution for the Sierra 1500. The spray-on bedliner (CGN) is available at $545. Additionally, the spray-on bedliner comes standard on AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate, which is why the drop-in bedliner isn’t available for these models. The X31 Off-Road Protection Package includes the spray-in bedliner, and it’s a phenomenal option for those seeking added protection.

Here’s a friendly reminder that the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 has various engine options. These options include the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline TurboMax engine, which can deliver up to 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Another option is the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, which forges up to 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. Anyone who desires even more power should consider the reasonably aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, which yields up to 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Regarding efficiency, the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine offers up to 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. 

Underneath the GMC Sierra 1500 is the General Motors T1 platform. The 2024 model year production began on July 17th, 2023, at the automaker’s Fort Wayne Plant in Indiana and Silao plant in Mexico.
