The 2023 Buick Envision Earns JD Power Canada’s ALG Residual Value Award

At J.D. Power, there’s a residual value division, the ALG, which evaluates and awards vehicles with the most significant percentage of original MSRP (manufacturer-suggested retail price) over a couple of years. Then, through a broad selection of criteria, the residual division selects mass-market cars that hold the most value over four or three years for luxury vehicles. 

According to the J.D. Power press release, the research firm evaluated vehicles based on “used-vehicle performance, brand outlook, and product competitiveness.” As a result, ALG narrowed the inspection down from 272 models to a small handful of cars that would maintain the maximum value over time. One of the vehicles that made the cut was the 2023 Buick Envision. 

The Buick Envision received excellent markings for its braking, acceleration, relaxation, and driving experience, according to the Consumer Report data. All in all, the midsize SUV earned 73 points out of 100. In addition, Consumer Report ranked the Envision as one of the best of 33 vehicles, concerning accommodations for three child seats across the second row, which provides enough space for the vehicles’ width and seat shape. 

The 2023 model year marks the third installment of the second-generation midsize Buick. Once the Envision reaches its 2024 model year, the SUV will attain a mid-cycle refresh. The update will occur on October 30th (2023), whereas assemblage will cease for the 23’ Envision at the end of October 27th. 

Buick enthusiasts recently captured glimpses of the 2024 model year during testing in October 2022. The future Envision was sporting a new exterior and styling design cues influenced by the upcoming Buick Envista. The future subcompact SUV will stretch across the US market, and so will the Buick Wildcat EV concept. Furthermore, the mid-cycle Envision will attain a reimagined cabin and a more extensive infotainment screen.
