General Motors to Electrify Buick Envision
GM is eager to nose dive head first into the swiftly evolving electric segment. General Motors plans to premiere 30 new electric vehicles by 2025. The automotive General’s subdivision, Buick, plays a critical role in the shift toward EVs. Therefore, General Motors has a fully-electric Buick Envision underway.
With an all-new electric SUV currently underway, the American automaker recently revealed its intentions to produce its first EV for the North American market by 2024. Once the first electric vehicle debuts, the Buick lineup will unveil an entire EV lineup by 2030. Consequently, the future Envision may function as the US’s first Buick EV.
Additionally, the future all-electric SUV may rise to prominence as the ‘Envision Electra.’ The Envision Electra name serves as a branding strategy since the future Buick EVs may also carry the Electra marquee alongside the vehicle’s nameplate.
Buick sources noted that the future electric Envision would maintain the same shape and size as the current 2022 Envision. However, in addition to the SUV’s size, the future Envision will sport a more intensely-sloped roofline and the same kink encountered on the rear door of current models. Furthermore, the all-electric Buick Envision will sustain razor-sharp headlights at the front fascia, a dual-tier forward lighting structure, and headlamps at the bottom.
The electric Envision’s front fascia will favor the future Buick Envista, which is shortly approaching its grand debut.
“Buick is embarking on an exciting transformation based on the promise of an electric future. As part of that, we will have an all-electric portfolio in North America by the end of the decade, with our first EV arriving in showrooms in 2024. Buick’s future EV products will carry the Electra name, drawing inspiration from Buick’s history while appropriately positioning it towards a zero-emissions future.”

Speaking of which, the 22′ Buick Envision is having a problem maintaining availability, with 18,208 deliveries in North American markets alone. Additionally, the Envision’s results reflect the first nine months of 2022. Thus we’re excited to witness how the future of Buick Envision will maintain its favor with sustainability right around the corner.
