Consumer Reports Declare the 2022 Buick Envision Best SUV Under $40,000

Consumer Reports conducted an owner’s survey on the Buick Envision for a whopping score of 84 out of 100 possible points. The Buick SUV also received acclaim from the publication’s readers with a perfect reliability score. In addition to the perfect score, the compact SUV attained high scores for its driving experience, value, comfort, ride quality, cabin noise, and fit and finish. 

In addition to the survey, Consumer Reports conducted a road test of the Buick Envision. The Consumer Reports experts gave the vehicle points for its strong brake quality, excellent driving experience, tranquil cabin, and simple-to-use infotainment system. 

Pricing for the luxury SUV begins at $31,500* (excluding destination fees) for the base trim or the Preferred, which features front-wheel drive as the standard. Then the premium trim, the Avenir, starts at $39,850* (excluding destination fees), including all-wheel drive. Don’t skip over the fact that the base and the premium Envision remain under $40,000. 

The 2022 Buick Envision comes to life through a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder LSY gasoline engine. The gas engine renders 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The true power couple is the four-cylinder and GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission. 

There were subtle alterations to the Envision for the new model year (2022). One alteration was the extinction of the Dark Moon Metallic exterior color. The Sapphire Metallic replaces the Dark Moon Metallic with an 18-inch wheel option. The Envision also eliminated the In-Vehicle Air Ionizer and welcomed expanded availability for the Continuous Damping Control suspension system.
