2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 Arrives at Dealerships

After its official reveal in October 2022, the highly anticipated 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 began accepting orders in March 2024. Five months later, the first all-electric Sierra Denali Edition 1 models will arrive at dealerships across the United States.

The all-electric GMC pickup is the sole variant available for the 2024 model year. Production for the next batch of models for the 2025 lineup, including additional trims such as the Elevation, AT4, and a standard Denali, is set to start next month (September 2024).

It was also recently announced that the online configurator for the 2024 model year is now active. Currently, it allows configurations only for the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1. Prospective buyers will find limited customization options, primarily restricted to dealer-installed accessories. The 2024 GMC Sierra EV boasts GM Ultium Drive motors and battery technologies, delivering 754 horsepower and 758 lb-ft of torque in the Denali Edition 1. The electric truck offers an estimated range of up to 400 miles on a single charge and can gain up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes with a compatible DC fast charger.

The Sierra EV transits through the narrow-body version of the GM BT1 platform, which also supports the Chevy Silverado EV. This architecture differs from the wide-body variant used for the GMC Hummer EV Pickup and SUV. The Sierra EV production occurs at GM’s Factory Zero plant in Michigan.
