The GMC Hummer EV Receives Illumination Package

It saddens us to say that the Exterior Lightning Package is no longer available. Therefore, it is with great pleasure we announce the 2022 GMC Hummer EV pickup attains the new Illumination Package. 

The Illumination Package was once the Exterior Lightning Package, but the Illumination Package renders more lighting  elements such as the: 

• A-Pillar Off-Road Lights
• MultiPro Tailgate Step Lighting 
• Interior LED Lighting 
• Mirror Projection Lights with Hummer EV Logo 
• Virtual Auxiliary Switches with Power Box 

Along with the listed equipment moving forward, the former Exterior Lightning package is now the Illumination package. Much like Puff Daddy’s transitions to P.Diddy or Kanye West’s name change to Ye. The lighting equipment will retain the same RPO code and a price tag of $1,695.

General Motors offered no clear consensus on the name change, but let’s be honest; the Illumination Package is more palatable than Exterior Lightning Package. 

The GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 pickup came to be a baby crab walker at the GM Factory Zero in Detroit, Michigan, in December (2021). Every 2022 Hummer EV pickup will be a limited model of the Edition 1 trim. The Edition 1 trim sports a white exterior, white Lunar Horizon interior, and bronzed “Edition 1” badges for the exterior. 

Another standard feature is the GM hands-free Super Cruise driving system, allowing drivers some freedom from the steering wheel during those long highway excursions. Then there’s the Extreme Off-Road Package. 

The electric pickups off-road package includes:

• 18-inch wheels
• 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires
• Underbody skid plates
• Frame rail rock sliders
• Belly cameras for the underbody

The 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 started at $110,295. Unfortunately, many enthusiasts have already claimed every reservation spot. Nevertheless, the non-limited variation of GM’s electric truck will enter production during the fall of 2022.
