The 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Offers Bed Utility Wall Package

The 2024 model year of the GMC Sierra reveals a spruced-up pickup with some excellent updates and packages, like the LPO drop-in bedliner option. However, the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 has another bed-related surprise – a utility-packed feature!

With the rad RPO code PCO, the LPO or dealer-installed Utility Wall Package is up for grabs for all trim levels of Crew Cab Short Bed setups of the 2024 Sierra 1500. Designed to make life easier for owners by offering neat ways to hang or stow stuff in the truck bed, this option comes with an extra cost of $1,495 and includes the following (relevant RPO code in parenthesis):

• Bedside Utility Wall Package (RVY)
• Utility Wall Latch Kit (5WI)
• Front Bed Utility Wall Package (SJS)

Remember that this package can’t team up with the earlier mentioned drop-in bedliner (RPO code VZX) accessory.

The 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 also packs a dynamic punch with various engines. There’s the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline TurboMax engine boasting 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine flexing 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine roaring with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine bringing the heat with 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.

Transmission options include the GM eight-speed automatic transmission or the 10-speed automatic transmission, with 2WD as the standard on most trim levels and 4WD as an option.

Beneath the sleek body panels, the GMC Sierra glides on the light-duty variant of the GM T1 platform, a platform it shares with the Chevy Silverado 1500. The 2024 model year production kicked off in July 2023 at the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana and the GM Silao plant in Mexico.
