Red GMC Acadia SUV House Trees

The most affordable luxury SUV in the market right now is the GMC Acadia. For the 2023 model year, the midsize GMC welcomes new exterior paint colors, but what else is new for the 2023 GMC Acadia?

The new Acadia receives three new exterior colors: Volcanic Red Tintcoat, Sterling Metallic, and Ultra Blue Metallic. In addition to the new colors, the midsize SUV’s SLT, AT4, and Denali trims acquire the new standard leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The GMC Acadia’s powertrain remains unaltered, with most trims employing a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The four-cylinder engine generates 228 horsepower with the assistance of a nine-speed automatic transmission. Available to the SLT and Denali trim is the 3.6-liter V6 that breaks necks when enthusiasts put their foot on the gas thanks to 310 horsepower. The only trim to premiere the V6 engine standard is the off-road AT4 trim.

For 2023, the Acadia does embrace a price increase. The midsize GMC SUV starts with the SLE trim, with an MSRP of $36,800* (excluding taxes and destination fees). Not too much of an increase from the 2022 GMC Acadia, which started at $36,145*.

The SLT trim commences at $41,100*, AT4 $43,400*, and the luxurious Denali at $48,105*(excluding taxes and destination fees). Every trim in the midsize SUV’s lineup attains front-wheel drive, except for the off-road AT4 trim. All-wheel drive is standard for its off-road models, available for the SLE trim for an extra $2,300 and an additional $2,000 for the SLT and Denali.

For a luxury midsize SUV, the Acadia’s starting price is refreshing. Many contenders will allege that the GMC SUV is ill-equipped, but that’s anything further from the truth. The SLE features 18-inch wheels, keyless ignition, tri-zone automatic climate control, an eight-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, six speakers, and five USB ports.

A suite of advanced driver features assists as part of the GMC Pro Safety Plus standard package comes included. The driver aids include automatic emergency braking, front or rear parking sensors, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.

Enthusiasts that acquire the Acadia Denali trim attain more desirable amenities, such as ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, driver’s seat memory, and a wireless charging pad. Other features available to the Acadia Denali include a surround-view camera system, adaptive cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, and the Tow package.
