So What’s New for the 2024 Buick Lineup?
2024 Buick Encore GX
Buick is making some big moves; after downsizing for a year, the automaker plans to expand its SUV range for 2024. Surprisingly the American automaker added a fourth SUV to its lineup: the Envista. Although it appeared that the Encore GX would act as the new entry-level model after the Encore was axed, Buick has other plans. It’ll be interesting to see how this new addition to their stable stacks up against the competition.
The upcoming 2024 Buick SUV lineup unleashes a bold new look with the Wildcat concept styling and sleek tri-shield logo.
So What’s New for the 2024 Model Year?
The Buick Envista is the latest small SUV offering from the automaker. The compact crossover steals some design inspiration from their Wildcat concept, which sounds incredible. Additionally, the Encore GX reveals a smaller turbocharged engine with less power. While that might seem like a downside to some, it’s excellent news for those looking for better fuel economy.
The cargo space behind the rear seats of the Buick Envista is comparable to that of the 2023 Mazda CX-30, which is quite impressive for this premium ute (utility vehicle). The Envista’s cabin features an 11.0-inch infotainment touchscreen that protrudes from the dashboard in a long, horizontal pod that houses the driver’s 8.0-inch information screen.
The Buick Envista comes standard with driver assist features such as automatic emergency braking, a lane-keeping system, and automatic high beams. However, it’s worth noting that some of the additional components cost extra. Despite this, enthusiasts will appreciate the Envista’s modest pricing, premiering at $22,400*(excluding taxes and destination fees), which is quite a steal for a fantastic vehicle.
2024 Buick Enclave
The new Encore GX subcompact SUV stole some inspiration from concept cars like the Envista, with a sleek new grille and slim LED headlights that come standard on all models. The real excitement for many Encore GX is with the new top trim, the Avenir, and the Sport Touring trim, both of which feature new LED taillights. The fact that there are now 18- and 19-inch wheel options is just icing on the cake. Overall, Buick has upped their game with this latest iteration of the Encore GX.
Wow, the interior of the cabin looks so much better with the new materials! Buick’s Virtual Cockpit System is a game-changer. The 11.0-inch central touchscreen and 8.0-inch driver gauge cluster display rests under a single piece of glass, revealing both sleek and functionality. It heightens the overall experience of driving the Encore GX.
Then there’s the Envista, Buick’s compact SUV, and the automaker revealed a fresh new look with updated exterior styling. The Buick Envision made some changes to the grille, front fascia, and hood, which makes it stand out. Even more exciting is that the Envista now comes with GM’s Super Cruise technology, which means it’s the first Buick in North America to offer hands-free driving capabilities.
2024 Buick Envista
The Buick Enclave, the three-row SUV, seems as if it won’t have any extensive modifications to offer for the 2024 model year. Despite all the changes happening to the American automaker’s SUV lineup, the Enclave stays the same as its predecessor (2023 model). It’s not surprising since the current-generation Enclave already received a refresh in 2022 and is still considered a pretty new model.
The second-gen facelift of the Enclave included updated headlights and taillights, as well as updated exterior trim and new wheel styles. Inside the vehicle, the Enclave now has a new steering wheel and restyled center console with more space. The 2022 Enclave Avenir top trim level also has model-specific front and rear fascia, wheels, and interior details. Buick even added a new exterior color, Moonstone Gray, to the SUV’s color palette. The Sport Touring package now comes with gloss-black wheels. Overall, Buick has made some modest updates to the Enclave.
