GMC Sierra Denali and AT4X Pickups Make a Grand Debut

General Motors is ready to roll out the premium of big boys. The GMC Sierra pickups premiered, and one by the name of the Denali Ultimate received a starting price that exceeds $80,000; this would make the Ultimate the most expensive full-size pickup today.

The new models will increase Sierra’s high-profit margins and average transaction prices, which sit comfortably at $53,342. 

Another new pickup trim named AT4X, a more luxurious variation of the off-road capable pickup. The AT4X holds a starting price of $74,995* (excluding destination fees).

The Ultimate and AT4X are extensions of a refreshed lineup for the full-size pickup 2022 model year. The refreshed lineup receives a new exterior and a technologically advanced interior, featured in most models.

Both trucks made a grand debut Thursday Night (October 28, 2021) online during the Thursday Night Football game between the Denver Broncos and the Cleveland Browns.   

The updated models provide:

• A 40-inch horizontal digital display.
• A new 13.4-inch color touchscreen.
• A 12.3-inch digital driver instrument cluster.
• A 15-inch head-up display.

Both pickups feature a standard 6.2-liter V8 engine with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.  

Perform an X-Ray scan, and the GMC Sierra holds the same frame as the Chevrolet Silverado, but these pickups are of two different worlds, and GMC makes sure of that. The distinction allowed GM to mold the GMC brand further upstream despite the striking similarities. 

Next year, the vehicles go on sale by spring with a $100 refundable reservation deposit for the 2022 Sierra models on GMC’s website. 

The 2022 GMC Sierra lineup ranges from $32,495* for the hard-working individual and $80,395* for the Denali Ultimate. With a mandatory destination fee of $1,695.
