The 2022 Buick Enclave Has World-Class Safety Features

The Buick Enclave receives a redesign for the 2022 model year with a host set of new features, an upgraded interior, and premium exterior styling. The mid-size Enclave offers third-row seating that enables the Enclave to enter full-size SUV territory with ample room to seat seven passengers comfortably. The Enclave is the largest vehicle from the entire Buick SUV lineup that is perfect for families with very active lifestyles. Not only does the Enclave get a brand new exterior design, but it also comes with more standard safety features than the outgoing model.     

Standard Safety Features

Buick introduces a new set of standard safety features available on the Preferred, Essence, Premium, and Avenir trims. They include automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, active lane control, blind-spot monitoring, and an automatic high beam adjustment system known as Intellibeam. With all these safety functions equipped on the new Buick Enclave, drivers can tackle the open road with confidence and peace of mind.   

Infotainment and Interior

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity come standard, allowing drivers to seamlessly connect their smartphone devices to access their favorite apps, music, navigation, including hands-free call and text functions. A wireless phone charging pad is optional for drivers seeking convenient and fast charging for their devices. The traditional rear-view mirror is replaced with an optional rear mirror camera providing the driver with an enhanced field of view. Throughout the cabin are premium soft-touch materials, heated and ventilated front seats with massage function, and wooden accents on their interior door panels. 

Performance and Handling

The 2022 Enclave’s powertrain remains relatively the same as the 2021 model with its 3.0 L V6 engine rated at 310hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission, with FWD as standard equipment, while AWD is optional for $2,000 extra. The new Enclave rides on 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with the help of its active damping suspension system that offers a smooth and comfortable ride quality.   

Pricing Figures

Official pricing has not been announced by Buick just yet, but automotive news sources state the sales price of the 2022 Buick Enclave will increase slightly. The 2021 model retails for a starting price tag of $40,300 (plus destination fee), therefore pricing figures could potentially reach the mid-45k range for the 2022 model. The next-generation Enclave is scheduled to go on sale in Fall 2021.
