The 2022 GMC Hummer EV, A Finalist for Green Truck of the Year

The Ford F-150, Ford Maverick, and Toyota Tundra receive some extra spotlight for offering hybrid power plant options. But the Rivian R1T is all-electric, just like the beautiful Hummer EV. 

The Green Car Journal Green Car Awards honors automakers who showcase environmental progression. In addition to the 2022 Green Truck of the Year award, the declaration also appreciates other segments with the Family Green Car of the Year recognition.

Underneath the audaciously gargantuan exterior of the Hummer EV pickup lies a General Motors Ultium battery along with Ultium motor technology. The Ultium motor technology administrates up to 1,000 horsepower in range-topping models along with 350 miles of range per charge. Other variations of the Hummer pickup incorporate 830-horsepower and 625-horsepower configurations with a range-per-charge between 250 and 300 miles, all of which depend on the customer’s setup. 

Mark the Calendar for November 12th (2021) because the 2022 Green Truck of the Year Award will be announced at the 2021 San Antonio Auto & Truck Show at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. But until then, it’s clear to see who wins by a landslide, better yet a crab walk.
