Pricing for the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Revealed

The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 starts production this week (August 29, 2022), and enthusiasts are excited, being one step closer to the remodeled pickup. Since the Sierra endured an astonishing overhaul, the 2023 model year did increase by $1,000 compared to the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. 

The Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate and AT4 increased prices by $900 and $1,900. The price increase indicates that the base model or the Pro trim equipped with a Regular Cab, Standard Box body with rear-wheel drive, and the turbocharged 2.7L L3B engine holds a starting price of $40,020. Furthermore, the base starting price includes the required $1,795 destination fee and a 3-year OnStar and Connected Services plan. 

The GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Double Cab with rear-wheel drive and the 2.7L L3B engine premiers at $50,995, and the equally equipped Elevation trim starts at $52,595. While the SLT Crew Cab arrives standardly equipped with rear-wheel drive, and the naturally aspirated 5.3L L84 V8 engine holds a starting price of $56,495. 

The 23’ GMC Sierra’s trim lineup consists of the AT4, Denali, Denali Ultimate, and the new AT4x. The AT4 Crew Cab Short Box with the new 3.0L LM2 I-6 LZ0 engine with standard 4WD commences at $67,100. At the same time, the AT4x propelled by the 6.2L L87 V8 starts at $80,200. The Denali Crew Cab with the 5.3L L84 V8 and rear-wheel drive starts at $66,500, and the Denali Ultimate with 4WD holds a starting price of $82,195.

Unfortunately, General Motors hasn’t released pricing for the AT4X AEV Edition. Additionally, the AT4X AEV Edition provides more capability than the off-road capable AT4X because of its American Expedition Vehicles features. Of course, the AT4X AEV Edition will be pricer than the AT4X. However, the AT4X AEV trim is the Sierra 1500 that enthusiasts will love to have. 

The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 welcomes what will become a long-lasting friendship with the new 3.0L I6 LZO turbodiesel Duramax engine. Additionally, the new Duramax engine replaces the 3.0L I6 LM2 engine option. Furthermore, the Duramax engine will render more power, torque, and additional refinements. 

The assemblage of the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 began earlier this week for the Regular Cab and Crew Cab models. After a while, production for the Double Cab models will start in a week, on September 6th (2022).
