General Motors has unveiled a revamped version of Buick’s flagship Enclave SUV, marking another chapter in the ongoing transformation of the brand, which boasts a storied history spanning approximately 125 years.

The 2025 Buick Enclave has undergone a comprehensive overhaul, encompassing upgrades in technology, exterior styling, and interior design. This rounding out Buick’s refresh of its existing four-vehicle lineup follows the introduction of the Wildcat concept vehicle in 2022, which kickedstarted the brand’s new design direction.

While the Enclave is the latest model to receive the Wildcat treatment, there is speculation that other vehicles in Buick’s lineup could undergo similar transformations. GM wants to expand Buick’s offerings with a new all-electric vehicle that may arrive soon this year (2024). The American automaker is currently exploring various “design studies” to determine the future direction of the once-dominant American brand. GM President Mark Reuss expressed enthusiasm about Buick’s evolving identity during a media event at suburban Detroit’s design and technology campus. Under the leadership of design guru Bob Boniface, the team has injected fresh energy into the 2025 Enclave, making it longer, wider, and taller than its predecessor, with a more assertive exterior design characterized by a more prominent front grille and Buick’s distinctive “reverse checkmark” headlights.

The redesigned interior boasts a “floating” center console and a standard 30-inch curved infotainment screen. At the same time, Super Cruise, GM’s hands-free highway driving system, will be available across all Enclave trims, along with standard front heated seats, wireless charging, and other safety and convenience features. Saying goodbye to its current V6 variant, the 2025 Enclave will now come equipped with a standard 2.5-liter turbocharged engine, prioritizing fuel efficiency.

Buick’s transformation is evident across its current lineup, which includes the Encore GX, Envista, Envision, and Enclave crossovers/SUVs. The brand has announced its intention to exclusively offer all-electric vehicles by 2030, underscoring its commitment to sustainability and innovation. Despite challenges in the Chinese market, Buick remains optimistic about its future, with plans to continue expanding its domestic and international presence, fueled by a diverse portfolio of vehicles designed to captivate consumers worldwide.
